Thoughts for Earth Day

Earth Day. Not just a reminder, but a recalibration.
As someone who has spent most of my career working at the intersection of science, innovation, and environmental responsibility, I believe Earth Day shouldn't just be about celebration. It’s about accountability.

Accountability to what we know and how we apply it.

We know how to treat contaminated water.
We know how to reduce emissions, restore ecosystems, and operate more responsibly.
We know that sustainability isn’t a side project, it’s part of being a modern, effective business.

What we often lack isn’t knowledge, it’s follow-through.

That’s where real innovation happens. Not just in the science, but in building the systems, partnerships, and policies that make doing the right thing the default - not the exception.

So today, I’m not just posting a photo of a forest.

I’m reminding myself and anyone else reading that every project we greenlight, every design we review, every dollar we spend, it all stacks up.
Let’s use Earth Day to realign:

With what we know,
With what we can do,
With the kind of world we want to leave behind.
